Warehouse Manager

$100,000 - $115,000 Base Salary + Bonus

Lead Warehouse Operations Through Growth & Change

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a high-volume food distribution operation in Richmond, VA. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong warehouse management experience, a proven background in food distribution, and the ability to successfully drive operational improvements and organizational change.

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, leading management and hourly teams, optimizing inventory and distribution processes, and supporting ERP-driven business initiatives. The successful candidate will bring strong people leadership, change management expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and distribution.
• Manage, coach, and develop supervisors and warehouse staff to achieve operational and service goals.
• Drive change management initiatives related to process improvements, system enhancements, and operational transformation.
• Partner cross-functionally with transportation, supply chain, customer service, procurement, and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, and company standards.
• Leverage ERP systems and warehouse performance metrics to improve inventory accuracy, productivity, and service levels.
• Develop and monitor KPIs related to safety, throughput, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Lead workforce planning, scheduling, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall warehouse performance.
• Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of warehouse management experience within a food distribution, foodservice, grocery, consumer products, or related distribution environment.
• Demonstrated success leading large warehouse teams in a fast-paced distribution operation.
• Strong experience with ERP systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Proven change management and continuous improvement experience.
• Knowledge of inventory control, distribution, logistics, and food safety requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Food distribution or foodservice distribution operations.
• ERP implementation, optimization, or system-transition experience.
• Multi-shift warehouse leadership.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $100,000 - $115,000
• Performance Bonus
