We focus on each individual's unique needs and deliver the highest quality services possible by ensuring that each individual receives the right support, at the right time and frequency by a caring qualified staff member in the most independent setting appropriate. What we need: Friendly and caring individuals who work with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) living in a residential home setting in Charlotte, NC. What You'll Do: Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking. Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene. Provide community recreational activities when available. Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities. Documentation of activities. Dispense medication and monitor dosages. Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van. Qualifications: Willingness to help others At least 21 years old; prior group home experience preferred. At least 6 months of previous experience (paid or volunteer) working with the I/DD population or experience relevant to the role; must be verifiable. A valid Driver's license A High School Diploma or GED Job Type: Part-time Hours: 30+ hours over the weekend (Fri-Sun) Schedule: Friday 6pm - Sunday 6:30pm (every other weekend; overnight sleep stay Friday & Saturday is required) *This position does not include pay for time spent sleeping during a shift. Location: Hickory, NC 28601 Extensive Training Program including on-the-job training. Free meals while on duty.
