Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented
Quality Control Technician to support quality and food safety throughout our manufacturing operation. This position performs quality inspections, production and packaging audits, product testing, documentation, and other quality control activities to ensure products consistently meet established company, customer, FDA-GMP, and SQF standards.
The ideal candidate is organized, observant, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and able to work independently while communicating effectively with production and quality team members.
Key Responsibilities - Perform routine quality control inspections and line audits of production and packaging operations.
- Verify finished products and packaging meet established specifications before shipment.
- Conduct GMP, FIFO, SQF, and other required quality audits .
- Inspect incoming raw materials and verify shipment conditions, supplier approval, and required COA/COC documentation.
- Perform physical testing of ingredients, finished products, and R&D materials.
- Conduct light chemical analysis according to established testing schedules.
- Accurately document inspection, audit, and testing results.
- Enter quality data into spreadsheets and applicable databases.
- Communicate quality findings and concerns to Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing team members.
- Assist with sanitation responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product or packaging inconsistencies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets and data entry.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn quality systems, procedures, and food safety requirements.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to visually inspect products and packaging with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to periodically climb ladders, steps, and delivery vehicles.
- Ability to lift and move products, boxes, and bags weighing up to 60 pounds .
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
- Some responsibilities may require short periods of work in cold, sub-zero, or outdoor environments.
